The franchise approval process typically spans a duration of 3-4 months, from the initial stages to owning a route. Here's a breakdown of the steps involved:
- Begin by submitting an application through our convenient online portal. To complete the online form, you'll need to provide your resume, driver's license, driver's abstract, criminal record, and financial information.
- Within a span of 2 weeks, a member of our team will reach out to you with information pertaining to the route you expressed interest in on your application.
- Take the initiative to contact the route owner and inquire about any specific details you may have regarding the route. This includes aspects such as the distance traveled (in kilometers), number of calls on the route, hours worked, annual revenue, and selling price. It is mandatory to participate in a minimum of 2 full day route rides on the route you are interested in. These rides should encompass the entire day, starting from the early morning until the day's work is completed. This hands-on experience will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the route and its requirements.
- Once you have completed the route rides, inform Jacquie, who will then arrange an interview with the Regional Sales Leader. It's important to note that no interview will be scheduled until the route rides are successfully completed.
After submitting your application, you will receive an email notification regarding your approval status. If you are approved, you will be provided with an RSL approval letter and will proceed with the franchise disclosure document (FDD) process. It's important to note that upon signing the documents, a 14-day cooling-off period will begin.
Once the 14-day cooling-off period has elapsed, you will have the opportunity to submit an offer to purchase, with a minimum timeframe of 6 weeks. During this time, the necessary training will be arranged and scheduled to take place 3 weeks prior to the takeover date.
